Northen Lights in Wisconsin USA

Beitrag von Michael Ellestad » 27. Jul 2012, 15:52

Hey Folks,

Was on a week long trip in Wisconsin and on my last day got this colorful display of Northen Lights.

See pics in my blog since I don't know how to upload pics to our forum

Hi Michael!
Greeat pictures which makes me jealouse ;)

But you could try to reduce noise and hot pixels in your photos. Especially this one is terrible.

Noise Reduction

Beitrag von Michael Ellestad » 27. Jul 2012, 16:45

Andreas,

I understand the noise reduction problem you are describing but I have the noise reduction enabled and for some reason it does not clear it all the way. If noise reduction was not on it would be a WHOLE worse than you're looking at. If I can find a way to make my Nikon D-100 reduce noise 100% I would do it because I don't like it anymore than you do.

Regards,

Michael

Maybe you need some good stuff ;)

For removing hot pixels: http://www.bessere-bilder.de/hotpixel-entfernen (German, but you will understand)
For removing noise: http://www.picturecode.com/

I use both of them (depens) and the results give me satisfaction ;)

Greetings, Andreas

PS: I never enable the noise reduction of my camera
