Hello everyone,
I saw my first natural fogbow today. I always look for them, but they just don't seem to be very common. The camera didn't do the image justice either, the white arc was very obvious in real life. Check out my site for the enhanced version.

Super, Nick, not something you normally associate with Florida!

Hey Nick,
Don't know if you have one but if you do get you a hi-power spotlight and shine it into fog at night and you will get an awesome fogbow. I have gotten severl of these and in 2004 I got my first lunar fogbow now how cool is that! One time I got car headlight fogbow and moon corona at the same time.
Regards,
Michael

Hello Micheal,
I have heard of those high powered spotlights and what they can do, I've actually wanted one. I have made a fog bow with one of those lights that use the 6v lantern batteries, by shining it into fog and putting the camera in the beam. How bright was the moon fogbow you mentioned? That sounds like it couldn't be too bright! I don't look for things around the moon often.
Best,
Nick

Hey Nick,
The bow I got back in 2004 was quite bright and I cloud see the colored supernummery arc inside and it continued below the horizon. It was my first one. I had the chance to get another but had to head to work though. Even if you do not have a spotlight you can use the hi-beams of your car and they work well too but make sure you cover one of them up to prevent a double effect.
Regards,
Michael
