Pyramidal halos Sept 13 2012

Hallo,

Was at a festival and got this nice pyramidal halo display and pics are here in my blog.

Need someone to show me step by step on how put images in my post last time I got confused.

Hi Mike,

good catch. You seem to see 'em a couple of times a year. W.r. to the posting of images here, it is so simple:

You need an image link (http//:...) and just bracket it like this

Congratulation, I never seen such a clear 9deg halo.
What you've seen at large? The 35deg halo also? Or is this a artefact at this photo:

Yep Claudia,

There appears to be 35d halo in several images just not sure have to have Jarmo be the judge.

Heres one of them that shows it on the left side.

It is then only better to scale down the image (600x800 e.g.), in order to fit on the page.

PS: I don't see a 35d-halo in the photo posted above. It is the rarest and most elusive of the pyramidals. In my 2010 sighting I did also not see it in the sky, although it was to be found weakly on my original (yes!) color slides. See my old entries

You have your pictures in two resolutions on your blog already.

Replace the placeholders and it works:
