Hallo,
Benjamin

Wow!!! all three lowitz arc components at once!
Benjamin,
That is a fine lowitz arcs display! I looked ver closely and I can see very clearly both upper and lower lowitz arcs and faint circular component.
Congrads on a nice display!
Theres nothing going on in the USA except record numbers of tornadoes and a very spectacular flash flood that was generated by a supercell thunderstorm.
Best,
Michael

You mean, that there is a upper lowitz arc ( http://www.meteoros.de/arten/ee14c.htm ) visible??
Is the faint halo the 22-halo or is that a lowitz arc??

Tolles Bild! Links mit Lowitzbogen?
Hallo,
Claudia

Benjamin,
Yes that is upper lowitz for sure and to tell between that and 22 degree halo is by looking for 22 degree halo inside parhelion, if the circular halo is faint or absent the arcs are lowitz arc and in fact sometimes the entire 22 degree halo will be "made" from lowitz arcs. The circular arc is faint and tails off faintly from below and outside the upper arc.
