da 10314 gerade schon wieder am zünden ist (kommt bestimmt bald wieder ein major), hier mal der letzte Alarm vom STD fürs Archiv.

MAJOR SOLAR FLARE ALERT

ISSUED: 12:35 UTC, 18 MARCH 2003

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

Region 314 has produced the second X-class solar flare in less than 24
hours. This second event occurred at 12:08 UTC (7:08 am EST) on 18 March and
appears to be very similar in size and energy output to the first major flare
at 19:06 UTC on 17 March. This major flare may also produce a small energetic
proton enhancement at >10 MeV energy levels over the next several hours. It
is still too early to determine whether this solar flare was associated with
a coronal mass ejection. The last X-class flare of 17 March did not appear
to be associated with a CME.

Region 314 continues to possess a strong beta-gamma-delta magnetic
configuration. Strong magnetic gradients continue to persist across the
dominantly east-west oriented neutral line. We anticipate additional minor
and major solar flares from this spot complex over the next 24 to 48 hours.
