A fairly small interplanetary shock was observed passing the ACE spacecraft
near 10:45 UTC today. This disturbance may be related to the X3 limb flare
of 24 August. At the present time, conditions are not favorable for
producing enhanced mid-latitude auroral substorm activity. However, there is
a chance conditions could improve over the next 12 hours. Most (if not all)
of the activity associated with this disturbance is expected to remain
confined to the higher latitudes.

...da ich das update für stark untertrieben halte, oben nochmal schnell die aktuelle Costello-analoge Prognose.
Ich bin relativ optimistisch, was die Aktivität heute Abend angeht.
Gleich wird erstmal SAM angeschmissen und dann sehen wir weiter.
