Last nites BBC learning zone astronomy broadcast was on adaptive optics. Very interesting. Nice to see an astronomer explain slowly with short sentences because the atmosphere at the mountain observatory in Chile is so thin.
Great shots of working telescopes also, this series is very special.

Eh, in the Netherlands most houses have cable TV and in most cases BBC 1 and 2 are part of the 20 or so stations that are included in the basic package that costs about 8 - 10 Euro per month.
In Amsterdam we also have ARD and ZDF, ARTE, the two public Belgian stations, CNN, french TV5, national Geographic channels among others.
On Terschelling due to the large amount of german tourists also NDR and RTL are added.
