Aurora / Geomagnetic Activity Update:
Geomagnetic and auroral activity are expected to remain mostly unsettled to active over the next 24 hours. Effects of the coronal mass ejection of 21 April are expected to be minimal (if observed at all). Another coronal mass ejection from the major M5 flare of 23 April is expected to reach the Earth on 25 and 26 April, but is not expected to be associated with significant activity. Generally unsettled to active conditions should dominate the next 48 to 72 hours.
Solar Update:
Region 338 retains the potential to produce additional M-class solar flares. It also has the potential to spawn a major solar flare over the next 24 to 72 hours.
