I suggest that observers already are at their observing site just after sunset on Tuesday evening.
I wouldn't be surprised if strong aurora would becomes visible already during twilight.
The VIS images of recent storms suggest to me that strong local substorms develop late afternoon local time.

Also april 6/7 2000 I witnessed a strong substorm during late twilight.

Any comments?
