...geht es nicht etwas genauer? Was läuft denn nicht?
Hast Du den Codec für Mac schon installiert?

Mein Comuter lauft noch mit System 8.01 und funktioniert prima. Da ich Musik mache und mit versch. Synthys und Logic arbeite, moechte ich das System nicht extra veraendern, verstehst Du ?
Aber lies mal das Folgende...

- optimization for G3 ; 90%
- optimization for G4 ; 60%
- optimization of post-processing ; 70%

Known Issues
- no encoder for this build
- sound sync problems can occur with .avi files with mp3, this is an Apple QuickTime problem

na Klasse, freut mich das Dein Mac alles(na ja fast) mitmacht was Du willst.

Was keine für OS 8, schade man kann nicht alles haben.
Deine Aussage: "DivX läuft nicht auf Macs!" ist falsch.
Es läuft nur nicht auf Deinem Mac und anderen Macs mit OS 8.

PS: Woher sollte Sven DAS wissen?
PS1: Das ist ein Forum das durch Geben und Nehmen funktioniert. Wir sind keine Fotogurus noch ein Supportladen für alte Betriebssysteme, empfehle Realitätscheck.
PS2: Mit OS 8 würde ich auch nicht direkt ins Internet gehen wollen!

Sorry aber deswegen will ich noch lange nicht unbedingt OS9, dann muß ich wohl drauf verzichten. Das können MACianer ja sehr gut Dank Billy!

Hallo

Schaut doch mal auf folgende Seite. Da lässt sich für Mac zwar nur der Decoder runterladen, aber immerhin. Für system-requirements nach unten scrollen (oder drauf klicken )
Ich benutze MacOS 9.0.4. Keine Probleme mit Divx-Filmen!

1GB ! Arbeitsspeicher, PC viel wenn Du an so etwas herankommen willst.

Peter hat aber 8.05, da gehts IMHO nicht, bin aber kein Macguru, mögen tu ich sie.

Die frühen 8er Versionen hatten IMHO einen unsicheren IP-Stack.

I wrote this because on the DivX site it is said that they are only in the alpha testing phase for Mac O.S.

I haven't tried it myself, most Apple Mac's that I have access to are serious machines formagazine publishers or AVID video editing and I don't dare to install new software on those fine tuned machines that aren't mine.

I wrote the message about Mac OS so that those people don't get frustrated when it doesn't work. By the way, in general Mac users are not keen on installing new software. One of the reasons that Mac's are stable is that there is so little 4rd party software that runs on them, therefore no driver conflicts etc. (At least, that is what I have been told).

When people have DivX running on their Mac OS, I'd indeed like to hear.
