Hallo !

Wolfgang hat gerade angerufen.
Er ist gut angekommen, würde sowas aber nichtmehr mit dem Auto machen.
Die Schweden sind riesen Lichtverschmutzer.
Sein Panorama muss gigantisch sein mit Blick auf einen Gletscher.
Heute Nachmittag hatte er noch Sonne und klaren Himmel, aber jetzt sind auch dort Wolken.
Er muss also genauso warten, wie es in den nächsten 4-5 Nächten wird, wobei seine Lage natürlich viel besser ist.
Das gestrige leichte PL in Stockholm hat er eigentlich auf die Lichtverschmutzung zurückgeführt, aber da Mats was gesehen und fotografiert hat, muss es wohl auch PL gewesen sein.

Hello.

If you have doubt about the aurora in Stockolm.
I shot some pictures with my digital camera. The aurora was very weak so I didn't bother to shot any with my system camera.
The picture is tampered with (blurred and brightened), because it's very grainy and dark.

I hope that Wolfang will have a real show in Norway this weekend.

I can confirm the PL observation last night. It was weak, but easily spotted with traind eye, from the archopelago of Stockholm.

...so it was not very easy for a person that does not know the local light pollution, to decide wether it is aurora or not.
And this is even harder when the one is driving on a light flooded highway.

Sure! If one sits in a car, driving on a highway, this PL should have been more or less impossible to detect. My eyes needed som 30 minutes to fully adapt to the dark nightsky of the very dark site of the archipelago of Stockholm!

Hallo Ulrich,

Wolfgang dürfte irgend wo am Svartisen stecken, knapp südlich des 66.,
zweitgrößter Gletscher Norwegens - hier eine starke Site, leider etwas ladelahm.
