Hier der Beweis

Comment added at 20:26 UTC: The minor disturbance that started earlier today has not intensified significantly and only isolated unsettled intervals have been observed.
Region 9672 produced a major long duration X1.3/3B event peaking at 15:02 UTC. This event was accompanied by a weak type II and a moderate (and long lasting) type IV radio sweep. A full halo CME was observed soon afterwards in LASCO C3 images. The CME will impact Earth, probably on October 27. Region 9672 is still developing and now has many spots of both polarities within the same penumbra. There is a high chance of further major flares being produced.
The most impressive development today has been seen in region 9678 which is, as I write this, the largest region on the disk, and still growing quickly. A magnetic delta structure has formed in the central part of the region and the region is likely to produce a major flare soon, and it could very well be an X class event.
