The CME impacted the ACE spacecraft (which is roughly 1.5 million kilometers upstream of the
Earth) at 01:24 UTC on 06 November.
But it took 29 additional minutes of travel time for the shock front to reach the Earth's
magnetosphere at 01:53 UTC.

The activity that preceded this larger shock was related to a completely different transient
disturbance (CME) - originating most likely
from activity in the southeast quadrant of the Sun several days earlier. The BIG jump in magnetic
field values you note from the ACE
spacecraft data log at 01:24 UTC on 06 November is (without a doubt) the manifestation of the
shock from the X1.03/3B solar proton
flare that occurred on 04 November.

ANMERKUNGEN: Natürlich ist es ein Sechser im Lotto mit den 0124 UT, but funny.
- Abstand Sonnenoberfläche /ACE mit 146.200.000 km im Durchschnitt noch ziemlich genau.
- dann Prozente ermittelt für X 5.7 vom 14.7.00 (149.760.000, P.o.S. 1775, 28 h) = 83 %
- erster P.o.S.-Wert für X 1 in SW 1480 km/s (C2, 1024) mal 83 % = 33:04 h = 06/0124 UT.
- “Gegenprobe”: anschließende P.o.S.-Werte X 1 in SW --1728 und 1678
A--1700 x 70 % = 06/0228
B--1728 x 70 % = 06/0154
C--1700 x 75 % = 06/0011, Durschnitt der “Gegenproben” 06/0130, let’s test 0124 UT. Ein Witz.
