M 2.8 event

Region 9704 produced a long duration M 2.8 event.
A type 2 radio sweep was recorded with a possible geoeffective CME!

Hi Marjorie,

it seems to me, that the CME in that C3
http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/data/rea ... 642_c3.gif
came from a filament eruption northeast of 9704 at about 0430 UT.

A very faint part of this CME seems to be earthward directed in the C2-mpeg this first picture at 0630 UT.
