BBSO Solar Activity Warning 20-FEB-2002 16:28:19 UT
NOAA 9830, S20W02 (Solar X = 031", Solar Y = -218" at 02/20/16:00 UT) continues to display two delta configurations. C- and M-class events are expected with the possibility of a major flare as well. A rapid emergence of flux occured within the NW portion of decaying region NOAA 9825, N16W75 (Solar X = 901", Solar Y = 295") after sunset in Big Bear. 9825 produced an M4.2 at 02:51 UT, an M5.1 at 06:12 UT, and an M4.3 at 09:59 UT today. Further M-class activity is possible before west limb passage.
