Hallo!

Die machen gleich eine geomagnetic warning draus, für uns hier ist die aber sicher nicht von Belang.

SUBJ: IPS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 02/06
ISSUED AT 28/0523Z FEBRUARY 2002
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED FOR 28 FEBRUARY 2002

A weak sudden impulse of 26nT has been detected in the geomagnetic
field at 0451UT on 28 Feb following a weak shock in the solar
wind parameters. The cause of this shock is possibly a long duration
C-class flare observed at approximately 1355UT on 26 Feb, with
associated type II radio sweep. Active to minor storm periods
are possible for the remainder of 28 Feb.
-------------------------------------------------------------
GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY FORECAST
28 Feb:Unsettled with possible active and isolated minor storm periods.

Einfacher Überschlag:
146 Mio km durch 552 = 73,5 h - bis 28/0400 sind aber nur ca. 38 h.
