Hi,
Nice NLC picture, thanks!
As i was bicycling home from the cottage between 21 and 22UT last night, i noticed too that there seemed be quite a lot of NLCs. Especially in the west they seemed to be most sharp and strong, but northern sky still seemed to be little too bright for them shine there.
At what time did you observe them and when were they at their best? I skipped looking any more of them last night, due the fact that the night would have got brighter soon and since they were not enough bright when i saw them. Anyway, it looked like an display that would have been rather great, if it had happened just 1 week later or so.
BTW. How has the "summer" been there in Sweden. Here on the other side of the pond the summer has been practically.....a bright mid Autumn. It has probably never rained this much. The temps have not got up to 25 since the first week of May. Lake water is still maybe colder than it was on the first week of May...has been in the range of 10-15 C whole "summer". In the 1800's this would have probably been a famine year.
Oh well, today is bright and sunny. Maybe nice NLCs and else in the evening.
Br,
Tom E.
