Re: I proudly present ......
Hi Jan!
I think, it is the same 2nd movie as I already downloaded, so there is no need to import it to APAVA again - please correct me if I´m wrong.
Here a hint to DivX and your note on your webpage. DivX is usually not included in any available version of Windows (till now I never saw a PC shipped with installed DivX)!!! Microsoft developed their own MPEG4-Videoformat so they will never include an MPEG4-Format from a "enemy" company like DivX.
Therefore you have to download the codec from the DivX-Website at http://www.divx.com (direct Link http://download.divx.com/divx/DivX412Codec.exe). If you have downloaded the codec you can play the DivX-Movies with your Windows Media Player - so there is no need to install "The Playa" (however you can download a bundle of DivX-Codec and Playa together from the DivX-Homepage).
Greetings, Sven

Hi Sven
It is indeed the same movie that was posted for APPAVA (version2) a week ago.
Your feedback is enormously appreciated, I will try and change DivX info now.
Thanks

Hi Sven
So much to learn..
If I understand it well, modern media players need to incorporate the DivX codec to play DivX coded movies.
please correct me if I'm wrong, DivX is Super !!!!

Hi Jan!
Yes, you are right. If you try to view a DivX-Movie on a new shipped PC (let´s say with Windows XP), the Media Player can´t decode the movie clip. Media Player tries to look at the homepage of microsoft for the correct codec, but of course, will not find it there
Therefore you have to install the DivX-codec using the SFX-File from the DivX-Homepage...

Congratulations!
Congratulations Jan!
This is one of the greatest things I ever downloaded from the net to my PC! Now you can imagine what aurora really looks like. Much better than on all the "stand-still" picture (sorry, I don't want to blame anybody).
Thanks to Jan!

Great!
Hi Jan,
aurora hunting seems to be a young hobby, spreading with the internet. Only few people do it since decades. So there are still some kinds of documentation to discover and you make a good job for that way. One is too quick entraped to do the same pictures than the others. In the next occasion I will also try to make a film instead of pictures. Did you think about underlaying your film with some kind of sound or music? And also your approach to specify the names of some northern cities is intersting. Did you think about pasting a distorted 3 dimensional map of northern europe into the horizon?
Greetings from Münster,
Bernd
