Effects of the coronal mass ejection disturbance of 24 September are still
in-progress. The orientation of the plasma cloud is not favorable for
producing intense auroral storm activity. It is unlikely we will observe
sustained auroral storming. Substorm activity could, however, be moderately
strong over isolated and localized high and middle latitude regions during
the next 12 to 24 hours.
