...und das Tolle ist, mein PoS-Wert ( http://www.meteoros.de/cgi-bin/aurora2/ ... ?read=2508 ) weicht nur 12km/s von der offiziellen NASA-Berechnung ab *freufreufreu*

LASCO and EIT observed a full halo CME on 2002/09/05. The
event was first observed in C2 at 16:54 UT as a bright loop
front over the SE limb; by 17:30 UT the C2 occulting disk
was surrounded, though emission in the NW was fainter.
The front first appeared in C3 at 17:18 UT with full
coverage of the C3 occultor by 18:18. C3 data for this
event is poor since the LASCO/EIT LEB crashed during
commanding and data was lost between 18:42 - 19:58 UT.
The mean plane-of-sky speed for this event was 1642 km/s
at PA 112, with possible evidence for moderate acceleration
through the field of view.

The CME was most probably associated with a large eruptive
filament just E of AR0102, which EIT observed between
16:24 - 17:12 UT. The eruption was centred N08E30. GOES
records a C5.2 X-ray event between 16:18 - 17:35 UT with
peak emission at 17:06 UT. This event is recorded as a
flare but the EIT data suggest it could be due to the
bright post-CME loops that form. It is possible that a
very modest and limited EIT wave, but no dimming, were
observed in association with this event.

Movies and images of this event are available now at:

Best wishes,

Gareth Lawrence.
