POTENTIAL MAJOR SOLAR FLARE WARNING

ISSUED: 11:40 UTC, 09 JUNE 2003

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

SYNOPSIS:

Active Regions 375 and 380 are capable of producing major solar flare
activity. Both of these regions contain a sheared neutral line with a more or
less east-west oriented component as well as delta magnetic configurations
and strong gradients. Either region may spawn a major M or X-class solar
flare within the next 3 to 5 days. The potential for a proton solar flare
also exists, as well as Earthward-directed coronal mass ejections.
