Astrourlaub

[Markus (Horw bei Luzern)]

Ich bin die nächsten 2 Wochen in Namibia auf der Farm Hakos. Falls irgendwas besonderes passiert (Sonnenausbrüche, Supernova, Kometen etc) wäre ich froh um ein Mail auf markus.burch@lu.ch.

Drückt mir die Daumen, dass wir dort unten 9 Bombennächte erleben für das Fotografieren.

ich wünsche dir einen erfolgreichen astrourlaub, und auf jedenfall
super klare sicht.
Aber nachdem du schon in island das glück auf deiner seite hattest,
wird es in afrika auch nicht anders sein.
Du wirst sehen. Bring ein paar schöne eindrücke mit.

Hi Markus !

Can you do a test for me ?
I was ten years ago some 500 km north of you in the border region of Zambia, Namibia and Angola, and noticed that at night it was so dark (because of no man-made light pollution), that I could play hide games with local black people. The ionosphere light was just enough for me and the local people to see clearly at night, without moon or torchlight.
I'd like to know if you have the same experience, that is, that the threshold of human vision is at seeing good under a starry nightsky.
During that filming visit of a few months, it occurred to me that local people do a lot of work during the night without lights. They are more into a 24 hour day with sleeping periods when they find the opportunity instead of the cycle we have.

I'd like your opinion on that.
