There are reports of a very bright meteor over the Netherlands saturday night.

Brightness was compared to full moon.
Observations were done in the eastern part of the Netherlands from Oldenzaal. This city is relative close to Gronau.

Hello Jan.
Strange, strange! I was just doing my weekendly taxi job, when I saw a very bright fireball with a cool greenish tail?! It lastet ~ 2-3 sec.
It was around ~ 21.20 local, I was impressed but thought, it must be a firework-rocket (was unsure for a moment). And now, I read this... I´m not exactly sure, I think the destination was north-west-west. Mhhhh ?????

The report (that was on the TV news)indeed spoke of "We thought it was fireworks but other people in other towns also saw it so it should be a meteor".
What is your location?

Hi Jan!
My location was ~ 52,4 N, 8,4 E between Sulingen and Barnstorf. If this was not some kind of firwork, i´m very impressed because of the intense greenish color and brightness. Wow!!!!
