Great work Katja! Thanks for posting them.
I especially like C16, and C18 (corona), as well as C05, and A13. You must have had a wonderful night. The clarity over the city is amazing. What was your exposure time and film type?
Best of luck for even more.

WOW! These ones are great pictures, good job there.
Was it hard to get it on film with the fast movements? I had a lot of trouble with that when i was in Kiruna.
What film did you use?
(Leaves my snapshots way behind, maybe its time for a 1.8 too.)
thanks for posting,

Hi Katja
Your pics are very very impressing.
What amazes me, is that you photographed so much dark sky and stars in between the auroral forms. Maybe the reason is that you use a 28 mm lens that records more stars than my 24 or 16 mm lenses do. But I rather think it is that here (Netherlands 53.3N 5.3E) we have a lot of diffuse (proton) aurora also during large (overhead) displays while you at high latitudes don't have that.
The reason would be that diffuse aurora is usually a by product of discrete aurora some 500 km farther north (northern hemisphere). I quess for you there was no aurora north of you while for us when we have aurora overhead there usually are even larger displays north of us.
But the pics are great, are you going to make some large prints of them?
Greetings, JanL

Oh!? So that was what we missed...
Well, I guess it just wasn't meant for us.
Great work, Katja, and thanks for sharing!

Katja, those are pretty wild pics, congrats on the great images! Must have been pretty neat to watch. Amazing forms there, especially the one in the middle where it's all curled up within itself, whoa!
