BBSO Solar Activity Warning 19-FEB-2002 16:15:06 UT
NOAA 9830, S18E11 (Solar X = -176", Solar Y = -188" at 02/19/16:00 UT) has continued in growth phase with two major delta configurations. One delta is located along the northern edge of the western-most penumbra and the other delta is located just to the NE of the leader sunspot. The delta located within the leader sunspot has a very linear signature which infers strong transverse fields. C- and M-class events expected with the chance of a high-level M-class or possibily an X-class event.
